It was another beautiful weekend so I grabbed the sunscreen and headed outdoors. Saturday I went to Galbraith to go mt. biking with my dad and Russ, it wasn't too sunny but pretty hot and humid. One of the best parts of the day was right off the bat. I was in the parking lot getting geared up when a guy rode up to the car next to mine and started packing his bike up. I noticed that he was talking to someone but I could not see the person anywhere and then out from the other side of the car comes this little boy. He couldn't have been over the age of six but he had the tiniest full suspension bike, disk brakes and everything! He had a little motocross helmet, tiny shin pads and was covered from head to toe with mud. He was so adorable! He was tearing around the parking lot and then comes over to me and says, "Man, its super muddy up there". I asked him if he had a good ride and he replies, "Yah, it was awesome!” It was so cute I couldn't even handle it. The ride was great, very muddy but very fun.
Today was full of yard work and kick ball. I mowed our lawn, which was sort of a jungle. It was slow going and very hot out but I was pretty proud of myself, the first lawn I've ever mowed! It looks pretty good if I do say so myself. Then the roomies and I, plus Chris our adopted roomie, went and grabbed some food and headed to the Maritime Heritage Park. There were a zillion, if I were to guess, little baby salmon in the fishery all swimming around and growing strong. There were also little Canada goose goslings playing on the shore with their parents, very cute and fuzzy. Oh and there was a little river otter playing on the rocks and swimming in the water. I thought he would rather eat some baby salmon but that just isn't allowed. Next Bri and I headed to kick ball with the Bagelry crew. I can't say that I actually kicked the ball but we added to the very quiet cheering squad. We did play on the swings and climbed a tree, which was entertaining though.
Now I'm off to work on my papers and channel my studious side. Good luck with Monday everyone!
